What is Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)?
Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) is a tax on general insurance premiums, introduced by Kenneth Clarke in the 1993 Budget, and set by the Government. All quotes and premiums will include IPT at the current rate.
Do you offer quote for couriers?
No, we don’t offer cover for couriers.
Do you cover me if i only use my van for personal use and not for business?
Yes. When you start an online quote, if you don’t use your vehicle for business use, then simply select “Social and commuting” when asked the question “What do you use the van for?”.
Can i get my van insured under my company name?
We do not offer quotations in a company name. The main driver must be the policyholder, the owner and registered keeper of the vehicle.
How can I check if I am on the Motor Insurance Database?

Can I change my direct debit date?
Only once your first direct debit payment has been taken successfully will you be able to change your direct debit dates. The available dates are 1, 11 and 21 of each month. Dates outside of these are not acceptable. To request a direct debit date change, please email us on info@nova-insurance.com.
I am unhappy, how do I complain?
Whilst we are not always able to, we do make every effort to service our clients within the best of our abilities. Nevertheless, should you find our process to be lacking please review our Terms of Business which explains the process to follow in order to lodge a complaint.
