The summer wedding season has begun! With the beautiful flowers, bright colours and sunny weather you could not really pick a better season. When planning a wedding, brides and grooms have hundreds of different things to think about, but for the bride one of the most important things will be how she is going to look on her big day. From an up-do with plaits, flowers and waves to a long, straight natural looking hair style, at summer weddings almost anything goes!

Brides always want to look their best on their wedding days, which is why they often think long and hard about how they want their hair done. Most brides visit a salon to get a few of their favourite hair styles tried out before they seal the deal, so their business is always welcomed by salon owners! However, don’t forget to make sure your beauty insurance covers everything you are willing to try on a client just in case anything goes wrong.

If your clients have long, thick hair you are in luck as you will have more choice when it comes to what you can do for their wedding day and you can also offer more technical hair styles. On the other hand, it can be difficult for your client to decide what they want because they will have so many options. They can choose from curls, buns, flowers, plaits, hair clips, waves, straight hair and much more – the possibilities are endless! This is why we have provided our top five summer wedding hair styles:

Style One – The Rope Braid Up Do

This style is fun, different and only recently has become a real craze as it’s a classy look with a touch of excitement to it. If you know a bride that is getting married on a hot summer’s day it will be nice for them to have their hair tied back so that it doesn’t stick to their face or neck and will cool them down. Your client will need long, thick hair to do this style but it will bring out all their features and make them look very elegant.

Style Two – Beach Wedding

This is a simple yet effective hair style which is perfect for a sweet yet playful look. On top of that, it is really easy to do. You will need to use salt spray to dampen your client’s hair and then scrunch it up to get the wavy/beach look. After that, you part the hair in the middle and grab the two front pieces of each side and either just twist them or plait them either side. This will bring out all your client’s features and frame their face. You could then clip the twisted bits of hair with a flower that goes with the theme of your client’s wedding.

Style three – Half up half down

This hair style is absolutely gorgeous, looks very smart and holds well. The half up half down look will pull away all the hair from your client’s face but still give the idea that the hair is down. This mean’s your client can enjoy the polished look of the up do and the more exciting vibe of their hair being down and wavy. For this style your client will need long, thick hair. Adding an extra silver hair clip will add to the hairstyle, making it look very elegant.

Style Four – Loose Curls

If your client has long, thick hair this look is perfect. With loose curls and a flower accessory it can bring out the summer wedding look. This look is exceedingly feminine and romantic and would be great for a beach wedding. It will also ensure that any client will be centre of attention.

Style Five – Messy Side Fishtail Plait

The messy, not properly styled look is all the rage at the moment. Even though some may see this as untidy, it is also a very sophisticated look. It is also great for a hot day because all the hair is out of the way. The fishtail gives a flirty and fun look and would be perfect for a relaxed beach wedding. This hair style is also a lot easier to do than you would think. If you like this look but your client doesn’t want it too messy, it is just as easy to do – you just need to make sure you pull it tighter.
